Info regarding fishing these venues

  • There is no Water Share access for your club at Ironbridge (upstream or downstream) on SHCAC waters.

  • There is absolutely no access to the “Nature Reserve” along the river bank from either Middle Bridge or Ironbridge.

  • No parking in front of any access gates at Middle Bridge; the tenant farmer and the Environment Agency need unfettered access here, as do our Members.

  • During the Summer the farmer at Pevensey holds boot fairs on Saturdays, usually from noon. There is no access to the Sheepwash field until after the boot fair is finished.

  • No vehicular access onto any water share waters even if the gates are open.

Night Fishing

  • Night fishing is allowed on all the shared water. We have the following “rule”: Where night fishing is permitted, fishing sessions on any specific venue are limited to a maximum period of 24 hours, after which the angler must vacate that water and not return to that water for at least 24 hours. This applies to everyone, including water share partners. We also prefer it that anyone night fishing does it as unobtrusively as possible.

  • If you are approached by a landowner or their representative, be helpful, courteous and comply with their reasonable requests without argument. If that includes showing their authority to fish, i.e. a club card, then they please do so. Anyone not complying with the above will be asked to leave immediately.
